Tuesday 2 March

I’ve been having a couple of weeks where loads of little things go wrong – like every light globe in the lamps in my house blew out at the same time. And there’s something wrong with the lights so I can’t use them either. And I couldn’t find a candle. But yesterday I had loads of little things go right.  The book I’m working on clicked into place a little. I went for a walk and the sun was exactly the right amount of warm. And my Ipod played some very nice tunes to match. Usually it never plays what I feel like listening to when it’s on shuffle. The mix it came up with yesterday included Angus and Julia Stone, Beth Orton, Bill Callahan, Catatonia, Dusty Springfield, Jean Knight, Jeffrey Lewis, Jenny Wilson, and strangely it finished off with Wham. I didn’t know that was on there. If it weren’t for that big dog on my walk, it would have been perfect.
